God Himself is looking out for us,
gives us the light and takes care of our affairs.
God is merciful and never forgets us.
God guides us, giving us good people to help us.
God does not allow hurt to come to us.
I will take comfort in the thought of God.
When I remember God, I feel peaceful and happy and all my pain departs.
Comments: These are the words of Guru Arjan, the 5th Sikh Guru, and are for complete protection. It is from the Sikh evening prayer (Rehiras), which adds energy to one’s being, and helps when you are physically weak or have limited wealth. It is a victory song which allows us to be guided by God’s graceful and merciful hand. It does away with the obstacles to fulfilling one’s destiny. As used in "Throw Out the Ghosts" DVD. In this DVD Yogi Bhajan asks you to chant with a "tough tongue." That means to press the tongue against the upper palate, create some pressure and use the tip of the tongue to chant the entire mantra while keeping the tongue pressed against the upper palate.
Test the effect of this in the following sadhana: Play Rakhe Rakhanhar (Singh Kaur version) all night as you sleep. Put it on loud enough to hear but not loud enough to disturb your rest. First thing in the morning, chant for 11 minutes with a ‘tough tongue’ to complete and seal for the day your nocturnal mantra immersion. Notice at the end of each day how your day went, how you dealt with the day, and how well you flowed into actions. Try this meditation for three days; follow this by three days without it. Alternate this way from the new moon to the full moon. On the evening of the full moon, finish this sadhana by meditating for 11 minutes before bed. Compare your experiences by keeping a journal for each day. By alternating you can compare your sensations each day and you can review the days when all is done.
Future practice: Do the meditation every day from the new moon to the full moon to dump old memories and distortions, or for 40 days to complete a full habit cycle. As your sense of self grows along with the expanding moon, the meditation keeps you clear as you dump the subconscious. When we grow in strength and energy, our distortions often arise and block our final fulfillment and goal. So as your mind increases its projection and confidence during the lunar cycle keep your consciousness present and clear to direct those rising energies.
