Free Conference Call with Shakta
Soul Talk - Conversations with Shakta -
a series of free conference calls
- Sept. 7 – Change Your Destiny
- Oct. 5 – Release Your Fears
- Nov. 2 – Beat the Blues
7 am Pacific / 9 am Central / 10 am Eastern / 11 am Atlantic
Saturday, Sept. 7th -
Change Your Destiny. Fate and destiny--karma and dharma-- exist together. At every moment you can choose to act in your fate or in your destiny. In fate, you create karma--actions you must complete or resolve. Acting in destiny you are in flow with the universe, with your spirit and with your basic nature. These actions are beyond karma. They are in dharma, or, living within your destiny cycle.
The soul returns again and again, remembering a little, forgetting, then remembering, until the destiny task is manifested. And, because you have a will which has freedom you can make new choices to dissolve fate and transform yourself. You can re-write your destiny and live to your fullest potential. This happens when the soul is un-shrouded and clear. At that moment transformation takes place and the magic begins.
On this call Shakta shares...
-- four tools to help you embrace your spiritual destiny
-- a meditation guaranteed to bring tremendous change to your destiny, and
-- details about the Chicago, IL, USA and Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada, Level 1 Teacher Training courses!
You’ll also learn how Teacher Training is an
earned destiny which ...
-- provides a direct, internal experience of yoga and meditation
-- orients your mind toward its proper role as your ‘servant’
-- stops the repetition of past errors and patterns
-- invokes your intuition, and
-- makes your life easier.

Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training
8 Weekends Over 8 Months -
January to August 2014
“If you become your own teacher, prosperity will be there. Good things and good ideas will come to you.” --Yogi Bhajan
Registration is now open for KYL’s 13th Level 1 Course
- the Aquarian Teacher, Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training as taught by Yogi Bhajan®. We begin
on January 17 and end on August 17, 2014. Teacher Training at KYL is always a beautiful personal journey of growth, challenge, transformation and upliftment!
Why Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training?
Kundalini means ‘awareness.’ Awareness is the active interaction of you as a finite individual identity with you as an Infinite potential identity! This dormant energy of awareness is in you. And, Kundalini Yoga is the supreme technology to take you to your Original, Best and Highest Self!
Drop Frustrating Patterns.
As you move through the Teacher Training course you will grow. Like a snake you will shed old skins to become more of who you really are. You will learn to examine your attitudes, behaviors and emotional habits. All your frustrating ‘demoting’ habits will come to the surface to be acknowledged, blessed and sent on their way! You will gain new perspectives and capacities. You will develop ‘promoting’ habits to support your expanded awareness.
The Number ‘8’
KYL’s Chicago course is 8 weekends over 8 months.
The number ‘8’ is quite significant. It has many different properties and meanings all over the world.
--In China the number ‘8’ represents the totality of the universe.
--Eight was the number of balance and the cosmic order according to the Egyptians.
--The Greeks taught that there were eight divisions of the sky.
--In Hebrew the number 8 is Sh’moneh meaning ‘super abundance.’
--There are 8 arms of Vishnu and 8 forms of Shiva.
--Sage Patanjali codified the teachings of yoga that we know today as the ‘8 Limbs of Yoga.’
--The ‘Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi’ (‘Lord, make me an instrument of peace’...) contains 8 requests.
--And, in mathematics the symbol of Infinity is represented by the number ‘8’ laid down--the ‘Infinity Loop.’
In Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan there are 8 Chakras or energy centers of the body. Seven Chakras correspond with the physical body and the 8th Chakra is the aura. The aura is both your protection and your projection. In Teacher Training you’ll learn how to augment your aura, attract positivity and repel negativity!
The number 8 in Kundalini Yoga is also associated with the Pranic Body. Prana is the life force that you breathe in on the air. It continuously brings energy into your system. The Pranic Body allows you to feel fearless, fully alive and at one with creation. In Teacher Training you learn to renew your energy and tap into your self-motivation so that you have more than enough vitality to enjoy life and achieve your goals!
The techniques that you learn during this 8 month course form an ‘owner’s manual’ for human consciousness. Everyone needs a technical know-how to get the best from the body, mind and spirit. That technical know-how is called ‘Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training.’
Through your own practice and discipline you will go beyond mere intellectual knowledge. You experience with your own heart and being your Original, Best and Highest Self. That is how, as Yogi Bhajan says, all ‘good things and good ideas will come to you!’
Tuition: $3,200 (until
11/16/2013) - $500 down - Payment Plans Available ($3,400

Kundalini Yoga & Meditation
KYL's September Theme
precious thing you have as a human being is your own
grace. The only real difference between people is in
their degree of grace. Your real power—your spiritual
power—is in your grace.
“What is Grace? Grace is the shield of radiation
or radiant shield which protects the pranic balance
in your entire living system, not only with you, and
within you, and within your psyche, but how you
correlate to all other psyches in your communication
of memory. All who have gone before you, all who
have to follow you. Do you understand what grace is
now? The trust that others place in you, is your
grace. The word you give to others is grace.
Expectation of you being who you are is grace. It is
a sum total of your personality, reflected by you.
It is your radiant body.” — Yogi Bhajan
Come to KYL and learn to:
-- be grateful for
consciousness and existence (because accepting is grace)
-- develop the grace of the meditative mind
-- not lose your grace, no matter what
stand any disgrace with grace and
-- serve your
grace, not your ego.

|Choir members harmonize not only their voices, but, also their hearts! Researchers say not only are choir members’ voices in harmony, but, their
heartbeats eventually harmonize, too. This is
because singers not only only coordinate their singing, but,
also their breathing. It was found that your pulse goes down
when you exhale and up when you inhale. And, the more structured
the musical work the more synchronized the heartbeats. Can you
guess which type of choral music had the most effect?
Listen to samples.
Of course, we recognize gregorian
chants as mantras and the practice of
breath control is pranayam.
These two technologies are found within gregorian chants.
What the researchers are not seeing, but yogis know about, is
the impact of the tounge on the mouth meridians, the vibratory
impact on the brain, and the audible impact on the aura.
It is always encouraging to watch as Western science becomes
aware of the long-established knowledge of the East.
New Moon - September 5
11 Days After - September 16
Full Moon - September 19
(Above Dates Adjusted for Central Time Zone)
The New Moon is when you are at your lowest...energy-wise. It is
a good day to fast on lemon and water. Fast from sun-up until the
next morning at breakfast, when you "break" the "fast."
... is the time between the New Moon and the day before the Full
Moon. During this time the energy of the body moves into your higher
centers (chakras). This is the time to bring new things, new people
or new relationships into your life or to accelerate the progress
of your special projects.
11 Days After
Yogi Bhajan taught that this is the day when you are in balance.
The glandular system readjusts itself on this day. Your metabolism
is changing, so if you eat very lightly (green foods) or if you
live just on water and lemon today, your health will be perfect.
Eat very lightly during the day. Eat only one meal and drink lemon
and water the rest of the day.
You are naturally accelerated on a full moon. You are at your highest
energy level. The secretions in your body will be at their maximum,
so you don't want your energy being used to consume food. Save your
energy to reconstruct yourself. Try to drink only liquids on this
day. If you feel you must eat, drink only milk. (But, don't drink
cold milk right out of the refrigerator. Milk should be brought
to a boil. Allow the milk to foam up and then bring the heat down
so the milk is on a slow boil for 5-10 minutes. While cooking it,
you may add a pinch of ground turmeric, a pinch of black pepper,
a cinnamon stick, or a few pinches of ginger to reduce any mucous
causing side effect.)
... is the time between the Full Moon and the day before the New
Moon. This is the best time to remove things, relationships or situations
from your life that no longer serve you. It is not generally thought
of as the best time to start a new project.
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
($14) - not on Friday
(After Sunday's class join us for a vegetarian potluck.)

A Thought From Yogi Bhajan
When you sing the glory of God, you are the God. Have no doubt about it. Just sing. It will purify you; it will bring you to your destiny; it will bring you your grace. If you can sing to please yourself, you start singing to please God. It is the shortest way to God. It is a short-cut to grace.
Kal jug meh keertan pardhaanaa.
“In the Kali Yuga, kirtan is the president.”
(Guru Arjan - 5th Sikh Guru)
