Gahl Sasson Returns to KYL
Events for "Gahl Weekend" at KYL

Thursday, August 12 to Saturday, August 14

Gahl Sasson is one of KYL’s most popular visiting teachers. “Gahl” means “a wave,” and for him, everything is a form of frequency, a vibration. He is a spiritual teacher who has earned a wide and enthusiastic following across the globe. He teaches ongoing workshops on Kabbalah, Mythology, and Astrology in Europe, Israel, Turkey, Mexico, and in dozens of cities across the United States.  Read more about Gahl.

He is the author of A Wish Can Change Your Life: How to Use the Ancient Wisdom of Kabbalah to Make Your Dreams Come True, which was published by Simon and Schuster in 2003. The book was endorsed by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and is now in its fifth printing. A Wish Can Change Your Life has been translated into 7 languages to date.  His latest book is Cosmic Navigator which combines the ageless insights of Astrology with the deeper archetypal wisdom of Kabbalah.  It affords readers the thrilling opportunity to learn why they are the way they are, and how each of us might use the potent tools supplied by these spiritual traditions to create purpose, serenity, and a life exactly as we’d like it.

Sasson teaches Kabbalah, mythology, and astrology at the University of Judaism in Los Angeles, Tel Aviv University in Israel, the Learning Annex nationwide and at various yoga and spiritual centers all over the world. His home base is the Golden Bridge Yoga Center in Los Angeles, which is the largest yoga center in the world.

Gahl employs astrology, Kabbalah, mysticism, music and symbolism in his talks and individual consultations. His workshops and private astrological readings sell-out quickly, so, be sure to register in advance for the event of your choice with Gahl Sasson!

Breathwalk® Intensive Training

Fee Increases on July 1

Two Programs Offered:

Personal Intensive - July 10-11 or
Instructor Training - July 10-11 and Aug. 28-29

9 am to 6 pm
Take One or Both Weekends
Walking is the #1 form of exercise in America. And, Breathwalk® is the next step in feeling great and conditioning both the body and mind. Breathwalk is a yogic walking practice that combines specific patterns of conscious breathing synchronized with your walking steps. You experience profound changes in just a few minutes of Breathwalking. Some say that these changes are even more profound than yoga and meditation.

Breathwalk offers you a wide range of choices—choice over your energy level, choice over your mood, and choice over your mental state. This Training teaches over 20 Breathwalk programs each addressing a specific need. For example, you can choose a Breathwalk to promote ‘Energy and Vitality’ or ‘Weight Control and Overall Fitness.’ Or, you can choose a Breathwalk that shifts you from ‘Anxious to Calm’ or from ‘Scattered to Focused.’ The choice is always yours!

The one-weekend Personal Intensive fee is $250 and the two-weekend Instructor Training fee is $750 (both fees increase on July 1). Click Here for complete details.

Journey to India with KYL
Visit India – Change Your Life!

Join Shakta Kaur and Hari Dev Singh on this magnificent journey to India!

Feb. 14–28, 2011
(optional extension to March 2)
FOR ALL SPIRITUAL SEEKERS, TRAVEL TO INDIA HAS A SPECIAL APPEAL. The very land is steeped in spirituality, where many ancient practices were developed and perfected over 5,000 years ago. Simply walking the land can leave a profound and lasting imprint on your soul. To transform your life sometimes requires a journey which will change the way you view yourself and the world.

This is the third tour to India that Shakta and Hari Dev have led with the guidance of tour operator Deepak Singh of Spiritual Journeys. While maintaining all the comforts of home you will have the profound experience of India; absorbing the rich spiritual traditions while enjoying safe food, excellent lodging and the guidance of experienced staff.

Highlights of our tour include:
• Participating in the 5-day Punarnava conference “Ayurveda and Yoga: Where Science Meets Consciousness” held in Rishikesh (the yoga capital of the world);
• Visiting the sacred Golden Temple in Amritsar;
• Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra on a beautiful sunrise tour;
• Washing away your karmas in the Mother River Ganges;
• Visiting Old and New Delhi;
• Walking the holy ground where Lord Buddha spoke his first sermon after 'awakening' (optional extension tour to Sarnath/Varanasi).

The BBC has listed the Golden Temple and Taj Mahal as two of the top ten sites to visit in the world. The basic tour fee of $1,835 includes the conference, comfortable lodging, sacred ceremonies, breakfast daily and English-speaking guides throughout the trip (land only – airfare to and from India is approximately $1,300 additional). Besides visiting the great religious and cultural sites, and walking in the footsteps of the Masters, our tour also provides time to “shop with Shakta” in the bazaars (an experience in and of itself!) and partake in local customs and ceremonies.  The optional extension tour is $400 additional.  For more information click here.

Come explore how to:
  • Create and maintain Soul-based relationships;
  • Honor the polarities of the male and female energies;
  • Recognize and create Authentic Relationships in each area of your life; and
  • Cultivate personal practices that develop your capacity for Authentic Relationships.

Each day you will study with the Master--Yogi Bhajan--in a video class and meditation. In addition, you will work individually and in groups, exploring the key concepts and ideas in Authentic Relationships. You will experience kriyas* and meditations as well as other processes to recognize how your personal life is affected both by Authentic Relationships and by relationships with a false core.

This is a 60+ hour course; one of five Level 2 modules. Fifty hours are spent in the classroom with 12 hours of home-study to be completed 90 days after the course concludes.

Healing Power of Triple Gong & Mantra

Friday, July 16
6:30 pm to 7:45 pm

with Shakta, Hari Dev, and Sanjam
($15 in advance / $17 at door)

Join us for our popular monthly sessions of gong and mantra.  As always, we begin every ‘Healing Power of Gong & Mantra’ session with light Kundalini Yoga to prepare the body for what’s to come (the yoga is appropriate for all levels). Then we move into deep relaxation with not one, not two, but three beautiful Paiste symphonic gongs. Your mind will have no defense to the gong after 90 seconds!

After the gong we use sound (mantra) to remind us that the entire universe was built on sound, on vibration. And, as we vibrate a particular combination of sounds, we are able to tune into a different level of intelligence, or, consciousness.

Join us for the deep vibrational healing of triple gong and mantra on Friday - Click Here to register.

Moon Watch
CURRENT MOON

Full Moon - June 26

New Moon - July 12
(Above Dates Adjusted for Central Time Zone)

Full Moon
You are naturally accelerated on a full moon. You are at your highest energy level. The secretions in your body will be at their maximum, so you don't want your energy being used to consume food. Save your energy to reconstruct yourself. Try to drink only liquids on this day. If you feel you must eat, drink only milk. (But, don't drink cold milk right out of the refrigerator. Milk should be brought to a boil. Allow the milk to foam up and then bring the heat down so the milk is on a slow boil for 5-10 minutes. While cooking it, you may add a pinch of ground turmeric, a pinch of black pepper, a cinnamon stick, or a few pinches of ginger to reduce any mucous causing side effect.)

Waning Moon
... is the time between the Full Moon and the day before the New Moon. This is the best time to remove things, relationships or situations from your life that no longer serve you. It is not generally thought of as the best time to start a new project.

New Moon
The New Moon is when you are at your lowest...energy-wise. It is a good day to fast on lemon and water. Fast from sun-up until the next morning at breakfast, when you "break" the "fast."
