Healing Power of Triple Gong and Mantra
with Shakta Kaur, Sanjam Singh, & Hari Dev Singh

Friday, October 16
6:30 pm to 7:45 pm
($15 in advance)

Join us on Friday night, October 16 (and Nov. 27, Dec. 18), for our monthly session of the ‘Healing Power of Gong and Mantra.’  Each month 40+ beautiful souls gather at KYL to celebrate this once-per-month experience that was recently described as ‘exquisite.’

We begin each ‘Healing Power of Gong and Mantra’ evening with light Kundalini Yoga (suitable for anyone) and then move into deep relaxation with not one, not two, but three Paiste symphonic gongs.  (Your mind will have no defense to the gong after 90 seconds!)  After the gong we use primal sounds (mantra) to remind us that the entire universe was built on sound, on vibration.  We tune into a particular combination of sounds in mantra to experience a different level of consciousness.

Come heal yourself and others at KYL’s ‘Healing Power of Gong and Mantra.’  Click here to register.

Shakta Brings Kundalini

Yoga Teacher Training

to Tallahassee

(New starting date - November 13-15)
A wonderful article appeared in the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper about KYL’s Tallahassee, FL, Teacher Training course. There was great synchronicity in the article coming out on Thursday, Oct. 1st because Abundance Wellness Center—our host venue for the course—celebrated the one-year anniversary of their opening on that very day! Congratulations to them and we hope you enjoy reading about how Tallahassee is preparing for their first Level 1 course in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.®  Read the details for yourself and then pass along the article to your friends.

What others had to say about their group mentoring experience with Shakta and GuruMeher:

"I have been trying to get my classes going for so long, but just wasn't doing it. I just needed clarity and a little nudge in the right direction. I've made more progress growing my classes in these past few weeks than in the last 6 months. Thank you so much for this very needed support." AK

I would like to thank you so much for this course. It has made me finally give some time to my own business plan. Even though I was already aware of some of the material, doing the homework and listening to all your information and practical advice has finally helped me put it all together!” SH

Harness Your Mind to Serve You...

deepen your awareness, clear the noise, manifest peace

Kundalini yogis have been gifted with meditations that will physically rewire the brain and create new circuits; the net impact being:

  • calm the emotions
  • allow clarity and focus
  • turn off the inner chatter
  • manifest your destiny
  • live peacefully within the chaos of life.

The technology of meditation has been available for thousands of years, but is just now being researched in order to quantify the benefits.  A recent book, How God Changes Your Brain (take a peek), provides a detailed look at just one Kundalini meditation (of thousands) called Kirtan Kriya.  It changes your brain - in positive ways - making your life better.

This course is called a 'clinic' because we teach meditations which have a healing purpose - gently moving the nerves and chemistry of the brain to effect a change in your wellness.  Existing mental patterns which do not serve you (like ruts in a road) will vanish under a new superhighway of freely flowing energy; connecting all facets of your being and revealing your place in the scheme of life. Class fee is $13 or 60-minute/Monthly class card.

Engage your will - Express your excellence - Reclaim your life!

Full Moon - Oct. 4

New Moon - Oct. 18

(Above Dates Adjusted for Central Time Zone)

Full Moon
You are naturally accelerated on a full moon. You are at your highest energy level. The secretions in your body will be at their maximum, so you don't want your energy being used to consume food. Save your energy to reconstruct yourself. Try to drink only liquids on this day. If you feel you must eat, drink only milk. (But, don't drink cold milk right out of the refrigerator. Milk should be brought to a boil. Allow the milk to foam up and then bring the heat down so the milk is on a slow boil for 5-10 minutes. While cooking it, you may add a pinch of ground turmeric, a pinch of black pepper, a cinnamon stick, or a few pinches of ginger to reduce any mucous causing side effect.)

Waning Moon
... is the time between the Full Moon and the day before the New Moon. This is the best time to remove things, relationships or situations from your life that no longer serve you. It is not generally thought of as the best time to start a new project.

New Moon
The New Moon is when you are at your It is a good day to fast on lemon and water. Fast from sun-up until the next morning at breakfast, when you "break" the "fast."

Waxing Moon
... is the time between the New Moon and the day before the Full Moon. During this time the energy of the body moves into your higher centers (chakras). This is the time to bring new things, new people or new relationships into your life or to accelerate the progress of your special projects.

11 Days After New Moon
Yogi Bhajan taught that this is the day when you are in balance. The glandular system readjusts itself on this day. Your metabolism is changing, so if you eat very lightly (green foods) or if you live just on water and lemon today, your health will be perfect. Eat very lightly during the day. Eat only one meal and drink lemon and water the rest of the day.

Life is not given to suffer. Life is given to offer something.
